Books have been written on this subject, and the contention and squabbling about where the "hot" slot games are located in a casino are still ongoing - more than 60 yrs after slot games were 1st installed in gambling houses.

The standard rule is that the superior slots were placed just inside the entry of the casino; so that folks going by would see jackpot winners ... be mesmerized enough to come unto the gaming floor ... play. Our verdict is that this is definitely no longer so.
